Web Committee

The WAI web committee oversees WAI’s web site and web resources (excluding Zoom) in a manner that:


  • Helps WAI fulfill it's primary purpose.
  • Abides by AA traditions, guidelines (MG-18, SMF-197).
  • Affirms AA principles in scope, content, and operation.

Web Site & Web-Based Resources

The committee oversees WAI’s web site and web resources, which includes:


  • General AA & WAI information
  • WAI & AA news & calendar events
  • WAI AA meeting information
  • Email accounts for staff, committees, delegates, others.
  • Web accounts (ISP hosting, cloud services, etc)
  • Web content (images, documents, calendars, etc)
  • Web-based tools (online forms, email/SMS, etc)

WAI has a Zoom committee to manage Zoom accounts and support for AA groups.


Web Committee Tasks & Procedures

The web committee is responsible for the following:

  • Report on web spending, usage, updates or issues.
  • Post events and documents to the web, as needed.
  • Update meetings and Meeting Guide app feed, as needed.
  • Ensure the website is secure and functional.
  • Provide web assistance and support, as needed.
  • Reset logins and manage email accounts, as needed.
  • Assist with web-related issues, as needed.

The committee chair may rely on WAI staff, committee members or special workers.
